In October 2008, Frost & Sullivan held its Leadership Congress in Asia for the first time, with the event hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In partnership with Celcom, nexmedia provided its Message Board Enterprise Edition product at the event for use during keynote and breakout sessions.
Targeted at event management companies and large enterprises, Message Board Enterprise Edition provides high quality real-time messaging for events, encouraging attendees to submit questions and opinions and to interact with the event's speakers. Rather than soliciting questions and feedback via an open microphone or via pre-submitted forms, Message Board allowed audience members to interact with the speakers in real-time, posting their questions to an electronic notice board, and receiving feedback from the speakers via their presentation. A Frost & Sullivan staff member monitored incoming messages in real-time during the keynote sessions, selecting the most appropriate questions and comments for display on the large screen. During the breakout sessions, individual session-specific Message Boards were provided in un-moderated mode, allowing attendees' messages to appear immediately upon sending.

At the event, nexmedia previewed its new Message Board Voting module, allowing the event organizers to pose questions to the audience via the Message Board, and to receive votes for each answer via SMS. The results appeared in real-time on the display, allowing the speakers to react to and tailor their presentation to the audience's responses.
The Message Board Voting module is fully configurable, and allows several polls to be taken within a single session, with each result displayed on a different page of the Message Board. Voting can be enabled and disabled during selected periods of the presentation, or enabled throughout and the results monitored periodically.
Frost & Sullivan's Leadership Congress was the first event at which the Message Board Voting module was deployed, and its reception was well received with over 400 votes received during the event. nexmedia plans to incorporate the feature all of its Message Board editions during the remainder of 2008.
