XpressBoard™ is a virtual display for real-time posting of messages from any mobile handset. Participants simply submit their comments, questions or feedback via sending a SMS message and the message is immediately posted to a projected display.

Designed for use at conferences, events, meetings and other gatherings where immediate feedback from the audience is encouraged, XpressBoard bridges the gap between the presenter and the audience.

By "crowdsourcing" questions, comments, feedback and opinions from the audience, the event organizer can adapt the event to the needs of the participants while the event is still in progress.

XpressBoard is highly configurable, allowing it to be integrated into the branding of the event by customizing the layout, colours, graphics and theme of the display and of individual messages. The graphical layout of the board itself can be adapted to reflect several display metaphors, including a notes pinned on a cork notice board, sticky notes on a customizable surface or even notes clipped to strung out wires. If the screen fills with notes, a new page appears, allowing fresh contributions to always be at the forefront.

XpressBoard requires no special configuration, hardware or software to run. The only requirement is an Internet-connected computer. Using nexmedia's nexsites Platform, XpressBoard is pre-integrated with the mobile operator's network, and messages are received and processed from any mobile handset without the need for a wireless modem or any other custom hardware. Simply open a browser window, enter the URL specific to your XpressBoard, and start receiving messages.

XpressBoard is licensed through a software as a service (SaaS) model, allowing you to subscribe for a single event, or as an ongoing service, usable at any time. All telecommunication connections are bundled with the service, including your first inbound SMS telephone number. Additional inbound telephone numbers can be added to your account any time you need if you want to run multiple events simultaneously.

XpressBoard Event Edition

XpressBoard Event Edition adds the capability for you to moderate messages before they are posted to the board. For large events and those open to the public, messages may require moderation prior to posting in order to keep the discussion on-topic, and to ensure that offensive or otherwise inappropriate messages are not displayed to the attendees. XpressBoard Moderator allows an event coordinator to review all messages as they arrive, and selectively post individual messages to the board. In addition, XpressBoard Moderator provides full remote control capability, allowing the event coordinator to control all aspects of the XpressBoard from a second computer, leaving the XpressBoard display clean and professional.

Actions that can be performed from the XpressBoard Moderator include:

• Selectively posting messages to the board after review
• Editing message content prior to posting
• Posting messages directly from the XpressBoard Moderator, without originating from SMS
• Removing messages from the board after they have been posted
• Creating a new clean page on the board, and turning back through previously filled pages
• Changing the board layout incuding title and instruction display
